From 8th February 2022 the government approved a package of supports to make it easier and more affordable for homeowners to undertake home energy upgrades, for warmer, healthier and more comfortable homes, with lower energy bills. The measures address barriers to undertaking energy upgrades (retrofits) reported by homeowners and those working in the industry. They also reflect the step-change needed – in pace and scale of delivery – to achieve our target of 500,000 home energy upgrades, to B2 Building Energy Rating (BER) standard, by 2030.

What grants are available?

Energy Efficient Works Increased Grant Value for External Wall –

Detached house – 8000 euro

Semi-detached or End of terrace – 6000

Mid-terrace House – 3500

Apartment - 3000

You will need your:
• Meter Point Reference Number (MPRN) which you will find on your electricity bill
• Bank details
• E-mail address
• Chosen registered contractor from the SEAI Registered Contractor List
